Kansas City Art Institute The Kansas City Art Institute is an internationally renowned college of art and design awarding the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Mahaffie
Farmstead & Stagecoach Stop This historic sites existing stone farmhouse was built in 1865 and used as a stagecoach stop on the Santa Fe Trail. An ongoing restoration is underway for the farm, the last remaining stagecoach stop of its kind. The site includes the stone farmhouse, stone icehouse and woodpeg barn. Tours are available. Prairie Center Nature Preserve/Grassland Heritage Foundation Owned by the State of Kansas, Prairie Center is a 300-acre preserve containing nature paths where you can experience the natural grasses of Kansas.
