The Arts Council of Johnson County is dedicated to leadership, education, advocacy and policy.   The agency promises to provide a cultural vision that advances the arts as a key component to the future economic growth of Johnson County, KS and the Kansas City metro area.  We are

• advocates and leaders assisting in educating the public and private citizens in supporting the arts for the betterment of the community
• a resource for providing knowledge and advocacy for the development of polices impacting the citizens of Johnson County

As a member of the Arts Council of Johnson County, your membership will help to support the following programs and initiatives:

• Annual symposium which will focus on key theme areas such as arts and economic development, arts accessibility and excellence and business and the arts. 
• Market Collaborative supporting and partnering with Johnson County cultural organizations to enhance access and awareness of resources through a partner website and shared marketing plan.
• Shooting Stars Recognition and Scholarship Program celebrating and recognizing the talents of outstanding Johnson County senior high school artists and their teachers.  The program annually recognizes 70 plus students and awards eighteen college scholarships totally $18,750.
