Kansas City Flute Association (KCFA)
What is the KCFA?
The Kansas City Flute Association (KCFA) was established as a non-profit organization 20 years ago. KCFA’s mission is to promote the growth, development, and awareness of flutists and flute music in the greater Kansas City area.

Membership
Membership is open to anyone in three categories (student, adult and senior) and entitles members to receive the quarterly newsletter, participate in all activities and receive discounts at select KCFA-sponsored events.

Activities
KCFA sponsors a variety of activities throughout the school year, including member recitals, lectures and workshops, master classes, and a high school coaching session and competition.

Newsletter
A newsletter is published and mailed to all members three times a year. The deadline for articles to be submitted is published in each newsletter and members are encouraged to submit articles.

Executive Board
The KCFA Executive Board consists of the officers, committee (project) chairs, and at-large members and is empowered to conduct the business of the organization. The board meets once a month and input from members at any time is always welcome. The board currently seeks to fill the following positions: Newsletter editor, Student Activities co-chair, Hospitality Chair, & Grant Applications Chair. Anyone interested in filling these positions should contact Adrienne Garstang at the number or email listed on this page.
