ARTS COUNCIL SEEKS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The Arts Council of Johnson County seeks a professional administrator with a nonprofit arts background and experience for the organization’s leadership position.

A suburban community just outside Kansas City, Johnson County not only has its own arts and cultural organizations, but also provides nearly half the audiences for the major Kansas City arts organizations. The Arts Council of Johnson County initiates, facilitates and supports the community vision of the arts through its programs, services, and collaborations.

Candidates should have experience in public speaking, fundraising, advocacy, and planning as well as strong organizational and management skills. Other critical factors include interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to work with all segments of the community including community leadership, elected officials and the cultural community. A Masters in Arts Administration is preferred.
